From Amanda Larose:
This Summer we will be introducing a themed summer enrichment program at SD, our focus will remain on ‘Vermont: Our Great Habitat.’ Every two weeks staff will focus on a theme; Gardening, Mountains, Trees & Flowers, and finally Rivers & Lakes. We have set-up a google classroom available to all clients and staff for accessing materials and instructions, the access code is as follows: wy3m433. Attached is a how-to guide to join the google classroom. There is a lot of material and information on the classroom, so we encourage to take some time to explore.
July 2nd thru July 13th we will be exploring gardening in the great state that we live in, Vermont. Every Tuesday and Thursday staff can expect a
facilitated field trip or activity. A calendar of scheduled activities is attached and also on the google classroom. Unscheduled activities will also be available and found in a grey tote labeled. “Vermont”. There are a wide range of activities available to appeal to a diverse audience. Students will be encouraged to participate at their level, in their activities of choice. This week’s scheduled activities include some light gardening, a lesson on civics from the Good Citizen challenge, reading competitions, a walk/bike ride, and even a field trip for berry picking!”
