01 Hoopla 06/19/19
Hi, folks. WELCOME TO SUMMER! Here is the info. we have for you this week:
TO ALL STAFF
From the Business Office
Mileage reimbursement rate will change from 50 cents per mile to
55 cents per mile starting July 1. This is for when a student is
in the car and will be reimbursed when mileage is recorded in a
timely manner in JANE.
Schedules
Summer tends to lend a change to typical student schedules. As such, please remember to check your students’ schedules every week so you are aware of where you need to be.
Office Hours
If you are lacking in hours for the week, you can request office
hours to help supplement your paycheck. Request these by
contacting your PSI. You can be scheduled up to 36 hours. You can
write a schedule of the hours you would like, but your PSI may
make changes and will send back a finalized schedule. Please
follow this schedule! When you arrive to the office, check in with
a PSI or a Program Manager for a task or duty, or let them know if
you have an assignment from a BA.
Dress Code
As the warm weather approaches, please be mindful of the dress code policy. Skirts and dresses should be avoided, and flip-flops should not be worn while on direct service with a student. Please use best judgment when considering upper body attire, and what will best make for a safe environment for you and your student, as well as that which will help carry yourself with professionalism.
Staff Retreat
Attached is the agenda for the staff retreat which will take
place on Friday, June 28th, at Smuggler’s Notch! Please arrive
by 9:00 AM.
For those who may be interested in camping the night before the retreat, please contact Liam Loughlin to reserve a spot. He has offered to coordinate this, so email him by Friday, as camping sites will become scarce the longer it takes to reserve them. Camping will take place at Brewster River Campground, which is a lovely spot.
FROM THE WILLISTON OFFICE
Please remember to keep the front and back door locked. They have
been left unlocked on a number of occasions. While it may be
tempting to keep the front door unlocked in the morning while
receiving students, please resist this urge, and use the key or
ring the doorbell. Thanks for your help in keeping students and
staff safe.
FROM THE MONTPELIER OFFICE
First we want to wish a huge congratulations to Alishia Cleavland
who officially passed her certification exam to be a BCaBA! We’re
proud of this huge accomplishment!
Thank you all for remembering to respond ASAP to emails that are
being sent out. This is very helpful.
There is a cleaning checklist posted in both the back office and
the front office. Please look these over when you have spare time
at the office and check off which parts of the list you were able
to complete.
Hooray, we’ve made it to the end of the school year! As our
students all finish up their year we just want to say thank you
for everything you do for each of our students. The next few
weeks we will have lots of people in the office working on
projects. If you have a computer or headphones that you can use
from home it would be super helpful. When getting to the office
for office hours, please check your folder (on the file cabinet in
the staff work space) to see what projects you should completing
that day. Place all forms and finished projects in the bin also
on top of the file cabinet. This way we can make sure that all
needed tasks are getting done and going where they need to be.
We will be welcoming a new staff member next week, Nicole Kish;
she starts on Monday. Feel free to introduce yourself and say
hello when you see her around the office.
AC units are up in the office. Please remember to make sure they
get turned off at the end of the day.
