01 Hoopla 09/11/2019
Greetings, SD. A good amount of info below, so please read
thoroughly.
FOR EVERYONE
Attached are two documents concerning SD’s 401(k) enrollment. One provides information on the policy, and the other is the form itself that allows you to actually enroll. Please review them if you are interested.
As always, please submit Time and Attendance forms within 24
hours of a missed punch!
S.S.O.S.S.: Oct 11th 6:30-9:30 SPARE TIME, Colchester, VT
To rejoice in our conquest of September, we will be holding an
evening of food and fun at Spare Time!
6:45–opening message from Directors
7:00-9:30–social time
We will provide appetizers and opportunities to socialize;
bowling and laser tag will also be available! Please RSVP if
interested, as we have to prepay for spots for the activities.
Hang out with coworkers, enjoy some snacks, and bowl a round or
two if you’d like! This is a +1 event, so bring a guest! Let’s
celebrate!
Remember, if you have a shout out, positive highlight or want to do a public “praise tag” for a staff or student, please send your thoughts to Jenn Johnson jen.johnson@sdplus.org so she can compile them all and send them out in a special September round up of Hooplas. These will also be shared at our get-together on October 11th.
FOR WILLISTON
Please make sure the front door is fully shut. It is old, and it
sometimes does not close all the way. Also, after entering the
code, press # at the end to activate.
When walking outside with students, please use the crosswalk at the top of Talcott Road if you would like to cross the street. You can walk across the grass or use the stairs in the parking lot behind the building to get there. This is a safety measure for staff and students!
FOR MONTPELIER
Quick reminder that anytime you have time at the office please
help sanitize and clean the office. It is germ season and all the
extra help to keep everything sanitized and everyone healthy is
very appreciated!
For the FUTURE
Hello friends!
Cold weather is fast-approaching and snow won’t be far behind (dun dun DUNNNN). Time for warm clothes, hearty food and SNOW TIRES!!
Derek “the tire king” Barrows would like to offer help in finding
affordable shoes for your car (or maybe just some all seasons with
some more meat). Tires are the only part of your car that touch
the road… don’t neglect them!
If you’re interested, you can email me directly (derek.barrows@sdplus.org)
using the subject line I NEED TIRES – John P. Doe.
Please include your car’s tire size and/or year, make and model.
Tire sizes look like this: 225 55 R16. 3 digit number, two digit
number, R two digit number. A budget is helpful, too!
Good snow tires can be found for as low as $150-200. Or, ball out and I’ll find you some bad a** treads that will take you to the arctic circle.
Safe travels out there!
The Tire King (in the North)
Let it all sink in as you enjoy the evening. Thank you for all your hard work these first two weeks of the school year!
