A Message from Molly Bumpas
Dear SD Family,
I wanted to say a heartfelt thank you to the amazing way you show
up to work every single day and make people’s lives better. It is
a gift. I have been honored to be a part of Sd for the past 5+
years and serve as your Program Director. I know that the work
will continue, and that you all will support and cheer each other
on. My last day at SD is October 25th. After that, you can find me
at UVM where I’ll be working as clinical faculty specializing in
autism spectrum. I look forward to hearing about all the great
work SD is doing! I’ll be cheering you all on, always. Be kind to
each other, and take good care.
Much love,
Molly
We wish you the best, Molly! If you see her between now and next week, stop and thank for all the time, effort, kindness, and caring she has poured into SD.
FOR WILLISTON
Orders at Williston Office
If you see an order come in from WB Mason, FedEx, or some other delivery service, please let the Program Managers know. There may be certain items that need to go to specific parties, and these are usually divided up as they are unpacked. In an effort to minimize these items being misplaced, please leave them in their packages and alert the Program Managers of their arrival. Thank you!
FOR MONTPELIER
Please make sure that if you notice we are getting low on supplies
to write it on the whiteboard in the office room. This lets us
order things before they run out completely.
Please remember to be checking what office hours you accepted and
sticking to these hours. We can schedule you for up to 36 hours a
week with the office hours, please do not stay late or come in
early without prior approval.
While at the office please make sure you are locking the door
behind you when you enter or exit the building. Even if other
people are here. We can not see the door from the office room or
if other staff are on direct service they can not be checking to
see who is coming in the door so we need to ensure that only those
with keys to the door are able to get inside without someone
letting them in.
While at the office please do not park in the lot across the side
street. The owner of the building has requested that we not park
in those spaces.
Finally, a brief yet familiar advertisement from His Royal
Eminence…
Hello friends!
Cold weather is fast-approaching and snow won’t be far behind (dun dun DUNNNN). Time for warm clothes, hearty food and SNOW TIRES!!
Derek “the tire king” Barrows would like to offer help in finding
affordable shoes for your car (or maybe just some all seasons with
some more meat). Tires are the only part of your car that touch
the road… don’t neglect them!
If you’re interested, you can email me directly (derek.barrows@sdplus.org)
using the subject line I NEED TIRES – John P. Doe.
Please include your car’s tire size and/or year, make and model.
Tire sizes look like this: 225 55 R16. 3 digit number, two digit
number, R two digit number. A budget is helpful, too!
Good snow tires can be found for as low as $150-200. Or, ball out and I’ll find you some bad a** treads that will take you to the arctic circle.
Safe travels out there!
