01 Hoopla 10/30/2019
Greetings, all. A short newsletter for you this week.
For Everyone
Holiday Time Off
The holidays are a joyful time of year, but they can also be stressful. We understand the rigors of having to travel far differences to be with loved ones. In this regard, please take into account that days before and after a holiday are considered blackout days. That means that call outs will not be approved for coverage unless there is proof of an emergency. Upcoming significant blackout days include the day before Thanksgiving, December 23rd, 27th, 30th, and 31st, and January 2nd. Please put in PTO requests for this time well in advance so that your request can be considered (by November 15th). We want everyone to enjoy these special times of year, and being planful around these dates can be especially helpful. Thank you for reading!
Mileage
A reminder that mileage must be submitted via JANE by midnight
tomorrow night. JANE locks at that time, so any mileage (that is,
travel you have done with a student in your vehicle) left
unaccounted for will be forfeited. Driving bonus forms (those
forms you fill out for travel without a client) must be signed by
your supervisor and submitted by the 5th of the month.
A Message from Directors
Thank you very much to all those who filled out the winter
weather survey. Your preferences are important to us! You were all
entered into a drawing for a 1/2 day of PTO (4 hours) for
participating, and the winner is Catherine Chalder!!!
Catherine, your 4 hours should be seen in your PTO balance by your
next accrual date!

For Montpelier
Our office space has now been moved out back! We are still in the process of organizing and finding homes for everything, so thank you for your help and patience during this switch around. Going forward, if you are at the office, please use the side door to enter, as out front will be opened up for Sparklers.
Congratulations to our newest RBT, Tammy Bronson!
Tire things comin’ atcha!
Hello friends!
Cold weather is fast-approaching and snow won’t be far behind (dun dun DUNNNN). Time for warm clothes, hearty food and SNOW TIRES!!
Derek “the tire king” Barrows would like to offer help in finding
affordable shoes for your car (or maybe just some all seasons with
some more meat). Tires are the only part of your car that touch
the road… don’t neglect them!
If you’re interested, you can email me directly (derek.barrows@sdplus.org)
using the subject line I NEED TIRES – John P. Doe.
Please include your car’s tire size and/or year, make and model.
Tire sizes look like this: 225 55 R16. 3 digit number, two digit
number, R two digit number. A budget is helpful, too!
Good snow tires can be found for as low as $150-200. Or, ball out and I’ll find you some bad a** treads that will take you to the arctic circle.
Safe travels out there!
Tomorrow is Halloween! Have fun, be safe, EAT CANDY!!! Enjoy your evening.
