01 Hoopla 2/26/20
Greetings all,
Hope you’re enjoying the week. A few things for you to read this afternoon.
KAZOO
Just an FYI that new Rewards and Behavior Bonuses are often being added to Kazoo; check there often to see what is popping up. We have some great additions to Rewards!! Also, letting you know that some Behavior Bonuses can only be redeemed once weekly (data sheet tally, for example), while others can be redeemed monthly, or sometimes quarterly (such as when donating blood). If you have a question about this, let Jenn Johnson know. Please keep giving those points out and recognizing staff for the work they do on a regular basis. New points are coming on March 1st–happy giving!!
WILLISTON
A few general housekeeping reminders:
- Please remember to return your forks when you are done with
them. We have consistently run out of forks shortly after
purchasing new ones. If you use a fork, PLEASE BRING IT BACK TO
THE KITCHEN. Donations are always welcome!
- If you use the oven to cook with a student, remember to turn it off when you are done.
- Similarly, if you use dishes or utensils or your client does, please wash them!
- THE BACKDOOR IS TO REMAIN LOCKED AT ALL TIMES. It has been
found unlocked at the end of the day on a number of occasions
recently. For everyone’s safety and security, PLEASE KEEP THIS
DOOR LOCKED. General practice is to not use this door except in
the case of an emergency (such as needing to escort a student
into the building as quickly and safely as possible).
- If you take petty cash from the Program Managers, please return it by the end of the day. If you cannot find them, please leave any change and the receipt for the purchase on one of their desks.
- Though it is a vacation week and we have a lighter volume of students in the office, please keep the rear parking lot open for those staff who are transporting students. It is important to keep this lot open so staff can quickly an safely transition students into the building.
- A big thank you to everyone who brought in extra/spare clothes! At this point, we do not need further donations. The bin of extra clothes will just live in the lobby near the bench in case anyone needs to borrow something. Feel free to borrow what you need, wash, and return.
MONTPELIER
Please remember that unless you are specifically directed by a
supervisor, do not enter the Sparklers area during programming.
We want to make sure that our kids have the least distractions
possible.
If the doorbell rings for a Sparkler drop off, please do not
answer the door if you are not one of his staff members.
Continue to be aware of the ice falling off the roof by our back
door. Please be aware of the ice if parking by the side door.
Please check in with Lindsay or Emily for more tasks or clarification if you are on office hours and finish everything on your list.
A MESSAGE FROM GABE AGUILAR
Hey there! SD is willing to sponsor a softball team for a winter
tournament. I am looking for 12 players, 6 guys and 6 girls. It is
March 6-8th. It is for a great cause and a lot of fun to play in.
If you know anyone that is interested in playing, please get in
touch with me. No experience needed–just people wanting to have a
great time
Most of our students are on break this week, so we hope you’re taking some time to rest and indulge in a little self-care. Thanks to those who have been helping with office tasks at the Williston office. Have a great night!
