RE: COVID-19 Sunday Night Update 3.15.20
Good evening NVT & SVT Staff,
As many of you may have seen there has been an Order from Governor Scott on the closure of Vermont preK-12 schools this week (click here). As he noted it is important that schools plan for continuing services for children with disabilities and special needs. David and I will be working with schools tomorrow to determine what that will look like.
Our hope is to support our needy population while still minimizing risk of exposure to our staff. We will continue to look to the CDC for their recommendations on monitoring a healthy, low risk work environment.
More details to come Monday and Tuesday about changes Sd Associates may incur during this time of uncertainty.
In the meantime important reminders.
- FUV will be open Monday, 3.16.20 & Tuesday, 3.17.20: David is working with the AOE about a plan for Wednesday, 3.18.20 forward.
- If the school closes that you are suppose to work at Monday, 3.16.20 or Tuesday, 3.17.20 options are below. Please let your supervisor know which option you choose.
- Come to the closest office for office hours for the hours you were scheduled at the school.
- Go unpaid.
- Take PTO.
- NVT: On Tuesday 3.17.20 at 4pm there will be a mandatory informational meeting at the Cornerstone – Williston office. This can be streamed live from your computer via the employee website. Login and password information will be sent by 3pm on Tuesday.
In closing, remember to wash your hands each day you come to work. Please know that I recognize not knowing change is difficult. I will get information to staff as soon as I can. There is a lot of moving pieces and everything is fluid. Take this opportunity to practice sitting with uncertainty and taking deep breaths. I know I am. (Link on Managing Anxiety & Stress)
Thank you.
