Happy Hump Day!
Lots to tell you today, so buckle up!
First (and obviously most important), Mike’s birthday is August 8th- be sure to wish him a happy birthday if you see him!
From H.R:
- We are excited to announce a new benefit for all employees effective September 1st. We are partnering with Invest EAP to provide an Employee Assistance Program for all employees in all regions. This benefit is entirely free to employees and is available for household members to use. We plan to have a representative from Invest EAP at our staff retreat in August to explain the benefit in further detail; however, please refer to the attached “welcome letter” for a quick overview.
- Please be reminded that if you are taking a course that has been paid for through our Sd Associates Tuition Benefit, it is your responsibility to provide HR with both a receipt of payment and a final grade once the course is completed.
- As you are aware, we must have proof of auto insurance and registration for all our employees as personal vehicles are used to transport clients and do business errands for the company. Please be reminded that as these documents expire, you must provide HR with updated copies.
From the B.O:
A reminder that the current pay period ends next Tuesday, August 8th. Time cards must be approved by the end of the day on Wednesday August 9th.
Information out the staff retreat:
The staff retreat is upon us! This is a two day affair, on Monday, 8/21, and Tuesday, 8/22. Staff will be paid for both days of the retreat. On Monday, we will congregate at the Lilac Inn, in Brandon, from 9:30-4:30. Info about the venue, including directions, can be found at http://www.lilacinn.com. There will be a continental breakfast and a sandwich lunch. Breakfast will be served at 9:30, and the day’s activities will begin PROMPTLY at 10. Staff will be paid a half hour for each way of travel. On Tuesday, we will meet at Branbury State Park from 10-5. Again, staff will be paid a half hour for each way of travel. Lawn games and team building exercises will be the priorities of the day. Bring food and drink (BYOB for those inclined) for the day. For those interested, there is camping available. Sites can be reserved at the park itself, though they are a two night minimum. You can reserve these at https://vtstateparks.com/reservations.html. There are also FREE sites just up the road from the park. These are first-come-first-served, but they are very nice. Any questions about camping or any other aspects of the retreat, as well as suggestions for games and activities, can be directed to Anthony.
PTO:
A reminder that the whole month of September is a black out month. I am adding the last week of August to this as many schools are in session. I will not be approving any PTO submitted for that time, with the exceptions of those already approved or if I am in the works of helping figure something out for you.
If you are unclear about what it means to be a black out time, please refer to our Policy Manual it can be found on the employee website.
Please know that this is to make sure we have adequate resources to support our clients and one another during the very busy and hectic time of going back to school. Thanks for your understanding and cooperation.
For BAs, ABCs, SE and SLPS:
To try and streamline all of the Wednesday information, we have put them on the website – They will be revised there too, so double check these before making your schedule each week. No revisions will occur later than Friday am for the following week.
Wed meeting structure can be found with the rest of the forms/documents on the employee website (where you’d go to find schedules or PTO request forms for example).
It is labeled “Wednesday Meeting Structure – July & August” and on Williston Forms it is located under the group labeled “Calendars”.
Here’s the direct link to the PDF:
http://www.sdemployees.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/08/wednesday-meeting-structure-july-august-2017.pdf
Notes from Specialized Meetings will be posting them directly on the homepage under regional news. Users who wish to read all of the notes, will see ‘Wednesday Meeting Notes [date]’ and can click on that title to open up the full document!
Info on the open PSI position:

Those of you who have already sent them in, thank you!
