Hi Everyone,
Here’s what we have for you this week:
News from our Executive/Clinical Director, David Powsner:
On June 30, with great regret, Sd will be closing the doors on Foundations Pioneer Valley (FPV), our ‘anchor’ program in Massachusetts. This has become an unfortunate necessity after a long struggle with MA regulatory requirements that has made continuation untenable. FPV has been our longest standing direct service program. It has been a showcase of excellent ABA practice and has set a standard for staff longevity. Our hearts go out to FUV staff and it is our hope that some of them may be able to join us in Vermont.
From HR/BO:
- Please be aware that the next open enrollment for our 401K Program is July 1st. If you have been a full-time SD employee for at least 6 months, you are eligible for this benefit. Please contact HR for the necessary forms which need to be turned in no later than June 15th.
- If you have announcements/reminders to share in our weekly hooplas, please email businessofficeadmin@sdplus.org
- Attention Staff: June Schedules will be coming out in two parts: 6/1 – 6/18 will be posted on the website on May 25th; 6/19 – 6/30 will be posted on the website the first week of June. Thanks for your patience as we sort out summer services.
- The pay period ends on 5/24. Please approve your time cards next Friday – 5/25
Around the Office:
- Attention staff: Many tacks were removed from the walls in common spaces on the first and second floors of the SD Office including hallways, bathrooms, kitchen, and lobby. Nothing was touched in specific program spaces (except 26’s). All items were taped back up in their current locations. Tape should be used in place of tacks in the hallways and common areas from now on. Also note that cleaning supplies, aerosols, liquids, and other items that could pose a potential risk if used improperly or consumed have been removed from the bathrooms. These supplies are now in the bottom drawer of the cabinet near the printer in the Lobby if you need to use them. Please keep the bathrooms on the first and second floor in the main office free of these items when you are not using them.
- There is an Ethics Training offered for staff on 5/30 from 6-7:30 at the Williston. There are a few of these trainings throughout the year (check the program calendar as they are highlighted) and all staff are required to attend one of these trainings. Many of you have attended already but I want to remind you all of this one. If you would like to sign up for this one please email Jenn Johnson by 5/25. This will be a somewhat informal training/discussion about the Ethics guidelines and how they affect our day to day work. Snacks will be provided and you will be paid for this time. If you don’t do this training another one will be offered in the Fall/Winter.
Have a great rest of your week!
Smiles,
Lesha
